Tom Corbett

Tom Corbett is the current Attorney General for Pennsylvania. He has been known for his strong stance against corruption as well as a national leader on his balanced approach to business. Corbett was a leader of the northeast Attorneys General through his association with the National Association of Attorneys General. He served as Chairman of the Republican Association of Attorneys General and sits on the Attorney General of the United States’ Executive Working Group. Attorney General Corbett served his country as a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard 28th Infantry Division, rising in rank from private to captain.

A life-long Pennsylvania resident, Tom married his college sweetheart, Susan. They are the proud parents of two children.

Jim Cawley

Since 2005, Jim Cawley has been serving on Bucks County Board of Commissioners. As Commissioner, Jim has established a solid record: a strong fiscal conservative, an innovator who integrates technology to save taxpayers millions of dollars and a leader in public safety.

Jim has been active in charitable and civic affairs in Bucks County and is an advocate for environmental protection. He serves on the County Commissioner’s Association of Pennsylvania’s Board of Directors as the Energy, Environment & Land Use Committee Chair. Jim also currently serves as vice president of community relations for the Bucks County Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Commissioner Cawley and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Middletown Township.

Pat Toomey

Pat Toomey has represented Pennsylvania's 15th Congressional District in Congress for three consecutive terms. Pat was one of Congress's leading advocates for limited government and personal freedom. He led efforts to expand tax cuts and reduce wasteful spending. And because of his exemplary leadership on the economic front, he received top scores from national fiscal watchdog groups such as Citizens against Government Waste, Americans for Tax Reform, the National Taxpayers Union, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Most recently, Pat served as president of the limited government, free-enterprise advocacy organization, The Club for Growth. Pat lives in Zionsville, Pa. with his wife Kris and their two children.

Jim Gerlach

Jim Gerlach has been serving as Congressman of the 6th Congressional District of Pa since 2002. During this time his prorities have includeded ensuring all people have access to affordable healthcare, preserving the region's environmental resources, and improving and maintaining the area's transportation network. He is also working hard to re-establish commuter rail service from Reading to Philadelphia through the Schuylkill Valley Metro passenger rail project.

Jim is also proud to have helped secure for Pennsylvania seniors a prescription drug benefit through Medicare that will provide 13.2 million of the nation's poorest seniors with free medications, while giving all seniors access to significant prescription drug assistance. Jim has also co-sponsored medical liability reform legislation, and legislation to preserve the region's precious farmland. He currently lives in Chester Springs, Chester County with his wife Karen, three children and three step-children.

148th District

Matt Maguire

 

 

 

Matt Maguire has made a lifetime commitment to community service in Montgomery County. He has served as the Lower Merion Township Fire Marshal for the past 20 years and as a past Chief and current member of the Centre Square Fire Company, a volunteer fire house. Matt is currently the Auditor for Whitpain Township. As your State Rep, he will take a fiscally responsible approach to spending and will work hard to reform our property tax and school taxes for seniors.

He wants to ensure adequate training and funding for our Emergency Services personnel and will encourage open space and land preservation.

Matt currently resides in Blue Bell with his two children.

 

149th District

Peter Kohut

A 30 year resident of Bridgeport, Pete has served the community in a variety of ways over the years. He first served in public office in 1991, winning election to Bridgeport Council. Pete was chosen to serve as Council's liason to the Upper Merion Area School Board. In 1994, Bridgeport Council elected Pete as Council Vice-President, a position in which he would serve until 2003. Pete has been and continues to be a staunch supporter of the Bridgeport Police and the local fire companies (Goodwill and Bridgeport #1).
 
Pete currently lives in Bridgeport with his wife of 30 years, Marylynn (Kuras). They have 2 children.

 

194th District

Timothy Downey

Timothy Downey has been a resident of Philadelphia in the 194th district for over 50 years. During that time he has served on the boards of numerous community organizations and fought to keep the Roxborough/Manayunk area a safe community for families and an inviting district for business growth. His volunteer efforts include civic association such as the Bridge Park Civic Association, Central Roxborough Civic Association, The Wissahicken Neighbors Civic Association, and the Manayunk Neighborhood Council. He also helped to shape and revive Manayunk’s Main Street area through his work on Manayunk Development Corp and the Manayunk and Roxborough Historical Associations.

Tim is determined to maintain the high quality of life in both Eastern Lower Merion Township and in Philadelphia’s safest Ward while at the same time making it more affordable for families to live. Tim currently lives in Roxborough and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
