Connie
Majka has been a Narberth resident for 11 years. She is the Director
of Communications and National Partnerships for the Philadelphia
Academies, Inc., a non-profit intermediary organization that links
businesses and post-secondary institutions with career academy
programs operating within the Philadelphia Public Schools. In 1996,
she founded the National Career Academy Coalition, a membership
organization for teachers, administrators and businesses involved in
career academies.
Connie is an independent thinker who believes
Council members are service providers who should be held directly
accountable to our community. She
vehemently opposes petty partisan politics and will hard work to
prevent the Borough from needlessly spending our tax dollars.
Connie is a member of the choir and sits on the
council for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Narberth. Connie shares
her love of music and dance by teaching hula and Polynesian dance in
the Borough. She is
committed to ensuring a thriving shopping district in Narberth and
will soon be a partner in a studio and retail business opening in
Narberth this summer.
Connie, her husband and her daughter, a student
at Bala Cynwyd Middle School, share their home with a rescued cat and
two rescued dogs.
